"Poemas del instante" de Jorge Guillén y Czesław Miłosz en busca de la realidad
Abstract
The aim of this study is to analise and compare “poems of the moment” of Jorge Guillén and Czesław Miłosz, defined as short compositions recording moments of contemplation, when a man, with a special intensity, experiences the reality. They make part of the larger group of “poems of the reality”, which look for what is real using poetic means. According to Miłosz, this is one of the major tasks of poetry, being thus a remedy for the ideological and spiritual crisis of the 20th century. The author of the paper discusses several “poems of the moment” of both writers trying to find the main parallels and differences with reference to the outlook on cognition as well as to the imagery. Some of them resemble a mystical road leading from doubt to certainty, from darkness to light, from suffering to joy. However, at the end, in contrast to the mystical moment directed at experiencing divine presence, the protagonist faces the reality.
