Abstract
Polish society is undergoing complex processes of transforming them into knowledge society. Private universities in the situation of the quality of demographic, economic and legal in Poland after accession to the European Union should identify their unique situation. The author made the diagnosis of conditions of non-public university in aim to develop strategic scenarios, which have to be chosen by a founder to ensure the functioning its university.
