Żyd i uchodźca. Znaczące powinowactwa narracyjne w polskiej literaturze dziecięcej ostatniej dekady
(Wydział Polonistyki Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, Ośrodek Badań Literatury Dziecięcej i Młodzieżowej, 2017) Rybak, Krzysztof; Uniwersytet Warszawski
The main aim of the article is to compare Polish texts about the new themes in children's literature: the Holocaust and refugee migration. Compositional similarities of their literary representations are striking: a child character, presented as a victim, is rejected by many, but still receives help from people, what guarantees peaceful living in new surroundings. Similarities between the creation of space, time and action are noticeable as well. The analysis showing strong resemblance of the refugee crisis and the Holocaust narrations concludes in the alignment of those two: the importance of the first rises, while the latter loses its "uniqueness" called by some researchers. Strong similarity between the two representations certainly influences the readers' moral development, emphasising the universal aspect of the suffering and the tragedy of war, as well as teaching tolerance, sensibility, and responsibility.
