Areas close to administrative borders facing difficulties in development opportunities as similar as areas of political borders. Local governments can have different concepts of space organization, the way of managing public transport could be also different as example of frequent idea to organize mostly connection to the center (capital) region, not to other regions. The spectrum of tourist information is often confined within the borders of an administrative unit. Barriers to interpersonal relations might be just boundaries of school districts, etc. The article gives examples of the occurrence of such barriers in France and Poland. Only in few cases social and economic recovery appear close to administrative borders.
