Wychowanie dziecka w rodzinie szlacheckiej w XVI i XVII wieku
(Karkonoska Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa, 2011) Kahl, Edyta; Uniwersytet Zielonogórski
The issues of education and upbringing in nobility families in the context of XVI and XVII century society, culture, education models and family traditions are discussed in the article. Selected models of everyday activities and games as well as methods of influence as employed by the teachers and guardians to foster the physical, morał, intellectual and social development of children are examined. Roles of the father and the mother as well as other relatives and teachers are described. The discussion of practices is supplemented by an analysis of the views on family education as held by the scholars of pedagogy during Restoration. These opinions contain guidelines regarding e.g. proper hygiene and diet, morality and virtues as well as the influence of the guardians on the child. By pinpointing various shortcomings of the process of education within nobility families the guidelines and suggestions provide for the enrichment of the picture of education and upbringing in those times.

Rodzina w procesie konstruowania obrazu osób niepełnosprawnych. Rola płci w niepełnosprawności
(Uniwersytet Wrocławski ; Karkonoska Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa, 2012) Rudek, Iwona; Uniwersytet Zielonogórski
The issues related to the role of the family in the process of creating relationships with ill and disabled people are discussed in the article. All individuals posses concepts of the disabled that form their attitudes towards such people. The image of a disabled person is responsible for one’s attitude towards the handicapped. The family should create an environment where children observe and learn positive patterns of behaviour towards people with disabilities which, in turn, form the basis upon which children’s attitudes are shaped. The process of perception of other people is dependent on many factors – one of them is the family. The author draws attention to the issue of gender in disability. The term “disabled person” turns out to be gender neutral. Women with disabilities consider themselves to be treated as a “third sex”. The discrimination of disabled women results from a lack of sensitivity to the sex of the disabled. This points out the need to change the attitudes towards people with disabilities in early childhood as well as the necessity to pay more attention to the gender of disabled children. Sex becomes a matter which is forgotten, perhaps even becoming irrelevant. Women and their function are pushed into the background, which results in the gender-related stereotyping of their social roles, a more difficult way of career advancement (the so-called “glass ceiling effect”), lower wages for women working in the same positions as men, and the low participation of women in public life.

Wychowanie w rodzinie według Janusza Korczaka
(Zakład Historii Edukacji Instytutu Pedagogiki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego, Wydział Nauk Humanistycznych i Społecznych Karkonoskiej Państwowej Szkoły Wyższej w Jeleniej Górze, 2013) Bartkowiak, Edyta; Uniwersytet Zielonogórski
The article is an attempt to unravel the mystery of education in a family based on the continuing validity of Janusz Korczak’s thoughts in his brilliant and timeless essay How to Love a Child. In the book, divided into 116 autonomous parts, the Old Doctor is trying „to learn, to understand and to love the child”, to touch the essence of parenthood. He studies the situation of a child in a family basing on three aspects: with reference to the child, to his parents and to the mutual relations between them. As a result, there came into existence three distinct fields of investigation. The first one constitutes the child, the second one- an adult, in this casea parent, and the last field of investigation constitutes connections between children and parents.

Rodzina w poglądach wybranych filozofów
(Uniwersytet Wrocławski ; Karkonoska Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa, 2013) Szczap, Agnieszka; Uniwersytet Zielonogórski
The subject matter of this article is the history of philosophical speculation on the family. Philosophical reflections on the family date back to Antiquity. The main points of reference for the entire socio-philosophical literature are the views of Plato and Aristotle. Plato’s recognition of private property and the family as the main barriers in the way of a perfect state has weighed on all concepts of equality for many centuries. On the other hand, Aristotle, recognizing the family as the basic social group, place of formation of virtues and one of the conditions of a happy life, contributed to consolidate the view of the distribution of social roles based on sex as natural and necessary. Medieval philosophers placed the family in the perspective of creation, this life, and salvation. Modern philosophical concepts of the family were completely different and sometimes contradictory. On the one hand, there were ideas of such thinkers as John J. Rousseau, with emphasis on the polarization of education and social roles by gender, on the other, strongly egalitarian views of Mary Wollstonecraft. Feminist considerations of Simone de Beauvoire conclude the review of philosophical views on the family

Osamotnienie jako konsekwencja zaburzeń więzi emocjonalnych w rodzinie
(Karkonoska Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa w Jeleniej Górze, 2011) Sendyk, Marzena; Uniwersytet Zielonogórski
Loneliness, this is a state experienced by many people: children and adults. The phenomenon of loneliness can be seen in a context of an influence of various surroundings; however its home sources are strongly underlined. Researches presented in article among the university students confirmed that there is a relation between the feeling of loneliness in the early adulthood and the emotional bonding, which joined the examined students with their parents in the earlier period – adolescence. The family ties generate the loneliness within family, but also outside it, e.g. in relations with mates, teachers.
