Weapons in the Shaft Graves of Mycenae: Aspects of the Relative Chronology of Circle A and B Burials
(Polska Akademia Nauk, 1994) Taracha, Piotr; Uniwersytet Warszawski
In recent times fast progress was made in excavations throughout the Aegean and, what has bearing on our subject, in studies on the so-called “Shaft Grave period" in particularl. Nevertheless, a spectacular concentration of Wealth in the Mycenae Grave Circles still remains a unique phenomenon in the whole Aegean area. The discussion about their cultural and historical implications and the chronological interconnections among graves has been animated ever since by both new finds from other sites and the analyses of the degree of Wealth within burials from Mycenae itself.

(Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy w Poznaniu, 1994) Wyrwa, Franciszek; Wilkaniec, Zdzisław; Akademia Rolnicza im. A. Cieszkowszkiego w Poznaniu
The investigations were carried out from 1989 till 1992 in 11 communes of the Pila Province which occur in the Valley of the Noted River. The plant composition was studied as a source of bee flows in meadow, forest and scrub plant communities. It was ascertained that the flora of Noted River meadows in the period from April to June could be a rich source of commercial honey. Numerous conglomerations of willows and alder buckthorn, raspberry bush and blackberry bush in the forest and scrub communities were a valuable source of developmental flow for apiaries on the commune premises of Noted River Valley.

(Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy w Poznaniu, 1994) Wilkaniec, Zdzisław; Wyrwa, Franciszek; Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy w Poznaniu
The investigations of apple pollination efficiency by solitary bee - Osmia tufa L. were carried out from 1987 till 1988. Experiments were made in six test combinations on trees of Red James Grieve variety which were isolated by a nylon screen. A measure of pollination efficiency was percentage of fruit sets and ripe fruits to number of blossoms per tree, mean weight of fruit and number of seeds, and participation of fruit in extra, I and II standard size. It was estimated that solitary bee - Osmia rufa L. was a effective pollinator, better than honey bee on apple.
