Concept of integrated municipal waste management in a selected region of the Małopolskie Voivodeship
(Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu, 2022) Przydatek, Grzegorz; Reszczyński, Wojciech; Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu
Based on the analysis, it was shown that is possible to increase the local efficiency of waste management by establishing a Municipal Waste Management Plant in the Sądecki Subregion in the Małopolska Voivodeship. This is due to its convenient location and environmental conditions and the proposed solution minimising the negative impact of waste on the environment. In the plant planned for waste management, the weight of mixed waste will be 323.80 Mg per day in majority. On the basis of the forecast, it was shown that the largest decrease in the mass of waste will cover mixed waste and will exceed 800.00 Mg and segregated waste per capita in the amount exceeding 96 kg cap.-1 day-1, which results from a decrease of more than 5,000 in the number of inhabitants. The possibility of producing RDF with simultaneous rational reduction in the amount of deposited waste. The proposed solution should help to reduce the amount of deposited waste.

Quantitative and qualitative analysis of water demand for a water supply network
(Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu, 2022) Kochanek, Anna; Bodziony, Aleksandra; Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu
The water supply network is an integrated system consisting of technological devices and pipes thanks to which it is possible to transport drinking water from the intake to the recipient. The water supply system under analysis underwent a number of modernisations over a long period of time, which increased the capacity of the water supply network and its water demand. The aim of the study was to make a forecast of water demand in the water supply network in the municipality of Limanowa in the locality of Kłodne, by means of computer research tools in the form of an Excel sheet, and on the basis of source materials obtained from the Water Supply Company. Based on the findings, a proposal is presented for further modernisation of the water supply system in Kłodne. The research part consists of two stages. The first stage is preparation of a demographic prognosis and forecast of the number of people using the water supply system for the years 2022-2033. The second stage involves developing a forecast of water supply network demand for the years 2022-2033. This prognosis presents daily, monthly and annual demand for water for the above-mentioned localities. The last element of the study is to present a proposal for modernising the water supply system, which is developed on the basis of conclusions resulting from the analyses and forecasts.

Forecasting in technical facility control systems
(Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu, 2022) Korostil, Jerzy; Afanasyewa, Olesya; Korostil, Olga; Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu; Pedagogical University of Krakow, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Technical Sciences; PSChem Sp. z o.o., Warszawa
The paper presents a methodology for designing forecasting systems for control systems for technical facilities. The topicality of the selected topic is justified by the specific requirements for forecasting systems, intended for use in control systems of technical facilities. The methodology proposes to design a forecasting system appropriate to the described stages with the use of a number of parameters characterising the forecasting process. The work analyses the peculiarities of the forecasting method, which are determined by a series of characteristics. An example of such a characteristic is the commensurability of the interacting parameters in the process of interaction of the parameters characterising the process of negative influence on the control process and the parameters counteracting this influence. An example of a parameter characterised by an increase in the accuracy of forecasting is the parameter of increasing the determinism measure, which is secured by separate, additional components in the forecasting system. An example of additional components may be the implementation component of the process of counteracting the negative impact, the component supporting the adoption of decisions in relation to the implementation of counteracting the negative impact of accidental events on the controlled object. The use of the developed design methodology allowed the accuracy of the forecasted data to be increased, which leads to an increase in the efficiency of using the forecasting system.

Electrodischarge and electrochemical grinding of special materials
(Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu, 2022) Ruszaj, Adam; Cygnar, Mariusz; Furyk-Grabowska, Karolina; Grabowski, Marcin; Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu; Cracow University of Technology, Faculty of Production Engineering
In Electrochemical Machining (ECM), material is removed “atom by atom” as the result of an electrochemical dissolution process. Under optimal parameters for this process the tool has no wear and the quality of the surface layer, metal removal rate and accuracy are satisfactory for special application in the automotive or aerospace industries. However, ECM has also some limitations connected with electrolyte flow through interelectrode gap, machined surface passivation phenomena or heat and hydrogen generation, quick temperature increase and high probability of electrical discharges and difficulties with machining composite materials. In Electrodischarge Machining (EDM), material from workpiece is removed during electrical discharges occurring in the machining area as a result of material melting, evaporating and sometimes breaking as a result of high internal stresses. This way of material removal introduces significant changes in surface layer properties and reaching a satisfactory surface layer roughness and high accuracy is possible only for a rather small metal removal rate. In order to overcome the above-mentioned problems, some hybrid abrasive ECM and EDM processes have been worked out and successfully applied in industry. Here, some results from the authors’ own research, industrial applications and data from the literature are presented.

Analysis of concepts about the negative impact of the human factor on the management systems for complex technical objects
(Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa w Nowym Sączu, 2021) Korostil, Jerzy; Afanasyewa, Olesya; Korostil, Olga; Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa w Nowym Sączu; Pedagogical University of Krakow, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Technical Sciences; PSChem Sp. z o.o, Warszawa
The article examines the way of organizing the means by which it is possible to detect the occurrence of the human factor that has a negative impact on complex technical objects. The system is an organized set of tools for diagnosing the human factor, implemented in the control system and operating in real time. The article develops an approach to the implementation of the human factor diagnosis method, which consists in identifying a dangerous emotional state of a selected person and identifying additional information that causes the activation of the appropriate human factor. In order to fully present the research problem of the work, an analysis of psychophysiological features of the human emotional state was carried out. Tasks, the solution of which is necessary for the model combined with the human factor, were considered. The analyzed model describes the process of functioning of the human factor and proven methods of organizing the process of diagnosing the human factor in technical facilities.
