The Impact of Migration-Related Threats on the Security of European Countries
Abstract
The article is a reflection on the impact of European migration processes on the level of socio-political security of the state and its citizens. This problem stirs strong emotions, because for one part of society the presence of immigrants raises concerns about the fate of their families, security and national identity. The article explains the threats posed by migration, describes the scale of the influx of foreigners to EU countries and identifies the main migration routes into Europe. The following categories of migration-related threats are discussed: social, economic, military and terrorist threats.
