Pragmakulturowe granice gościnności

Abstract
The boundaries of hospitality can be treated almost literally. The boundaries of countries and regions, the boundaries of acceptance and understanding and specified reach of languages constitute the perfect pretext for a discussion about foreignness and familiarity. The authors of this paper believe that the term “pragmacultural” is a convenient neologism, when it comes to the practical implication of the interaction of cultures (or in a more strict sense: the interaction of linguacultures). In this analysis the authors focus on the peculiar interaction of a few seemingly close (lingua)cultures: the Czech, the Polish and the Silesian, a starting point for the analysis being Waldenfels’ notion of the Alien. The final goal is to show the meaning of ‘foreignness’ and the strategy of overcoming it in regional education (in both a narrower and in a wider, Central European, sense). The point of special interest in the discussion is a language education.
