Oszustwo w społeczeństwie cyfrowej produkcji
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the nature of the organization of the social system in the digital age, in which the tools offered to consumers as a response their fundamental needs actually make it impossible to satisfy them. The author analyzes the way in which portable, multifunctional Internet-enabled communication devices, called “smartphones,” affect individuals by comparing them to Orwell’s “telescreens,” whose purpose was to simultaneously eavesdrop on citizens and transmit propaganda. The author points out that smartphones, unlike the devices described by George Orwell, are used to transmit information that is not strictly false but usually just worthless, making it unattainable for an individual to realize the situation in which they find themself in. Simultaneously, as part of this process the individual becomes disconnected from their corporeal emotionality, and emotions are managed for specific material or political gains.
