Destrukcyjny charakter sekt: charakterystyka zjawiska

Abstract
For several decades, sections have been subject of depth study and interest. Rapid and radical changes in politics, economics, technology or ideological attitudes as well secularization of life and weakening strength o f integration of traditional Christian churches cause acceleration of the development and acceptance of specific religious groups such as sects. This article covers the issues of destructive sects, which are defined as groups that by their religious aspects make threat to health and life of citizens. These groups usually have high complex of structure authority and require their members to perceive absolute obedience hiding the true principles of governing the sect. Destructive sect can be identified by such characteristics as: a. Pyramidal structure, b. The totalitarian nature. The author of this article points reasons of arising of sects and their fast developing as well destructive sects. Reasons of belonging to destructive sects involve the coexistence o f two factors: personal compliance and the impact of manipulative group. Recruitment operations carried out by these groups, some people are more susceptible than others are. The sects are a manifestation of deviation underestimated by university teachers and public authorities, social workers, politicians and lawyers. The phenomenon of sects, raise many controversial and concerns in sociality. Harm of society, illegal and in many cases criminal behavior of members of the sects are reflected in the sense of threat of Polish society.
