Abstract
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest opis, charakterystyka i analiza działalności (pod kątem cech świadczących o utopijności) południowoamerykańskiego ruchu Pixaçâo. Artykuł zawiera refleksję autora nad praktyką Pixadores, mieszkańców metropolii Sâo Paulo borykających się z ubóstwem i społeczną marginalizacją. Autor szczególną uwagę poświęca ingerencjom w przestrzeń miasta, rozumiejąc je jako manifestacje wartości, formy ingerencji motywowane etycznie, a nawet rewolucyjnie. Główną tezą artykułu jest stwierdzenie o utopijności działalności Pixadores, mającej na celu walkę o sprawiedliwość społeczną poprzez unikalną sztukę ulicy, odżegnującą się zarazem od założeń wzorców globalnych street artu i amerykańskiego graffiti.The purpose of this article is to describe, characterize and analyze activities in terms of features that testify to the utopia of the Pixaçâo South American movement. The article contains the author’s reflection on the practice of Pixadores, residents of the metropolises of São Paulo struggling with poverty and social marginalization. The author pays particular attention to interferences in the city space, understanding them as manifestations of values, forms of interference motivated ethically and even revolutionarily. The main thesis of the article is the statement about the utopian activity of Pixadores, aiming for the fight for social justice through its unique street art, at the same time disregarding the from the assumptions of global patterns of street art and American graffiti.
