The article presents the design and implementation of a prototype tracking system for photovoltaic panels, whose task is to track the movement of the Sun and improve energy conversion efficiency. Traditional PV installations are characterized by limited efficiency resulting from the fixed orientation of the modules, which leads to a decrease in energy production during the day. The developed system uses an Arduino Leonardo microcontroller, MG995 servo mechanisms, and four photoresistors acting as light intensity sensors. The algorithm, implemented in C++, analyzes sensor readings and dynamically corrects the position of the platform in two axes, ensuring that the panels are maintained in the direction of maximum radiation. Tests conducted on the constructed prototype confirmed the effectiveness of the system – the platform responded smoothly and stably to changing lighting conditions. The results indicate that the use of tracking systems in real photovoltaic farms can increase energy yields by 20-35% compared to static installations. They are particularly important in Poland, where seasonal variability in sunlight means that tracking systems can significantly improve the profitability of investments.en
