Metafora jako narzędzie heurystyczne w zarządzaniu i organizowaniu

Abstract

There is an unfl agging interest of the scientifi c world in management to discovering theoretical perspectives and searching for refl ections on practices of organizing. However, most approaches describing management from the communication point of view are either omitted or insuffi ciently explored. Metaphor is a medium of notion transfer which, through the mechanism of transferring meanings, can give a new picture in the implementation of management practices. On the basis of quantitative and qualitative analyzes, the study presents an outline of the leading metaphors used in organizational sciences. The purpose of the research is to disseminate knowledge about metaphors and to fi ll the gap in Polish literature in the discipline of management and organization.
