dc.description.abstractW artykule podjęto refleksję nad problematyką pamięci zbiorowej funkcjonującej w społeczności mniejszościowej oraz nad jej przejawami w krajobrazie kulturowym. Zagadnienie to przedstawiono na przykładzie bieżeństwa (uchodźstwa) – masowej ewakuacji ludności cywilnej w głąb Rosji w czasie I wojny światowej, w 1915 r. Uchodźstwo dotknęło kilka milionów osób, a tereny obecnego wschodniego Podlasia zostały wyludnione niemal w 80%. Mimo skali tego zjawiska, wciąż pozostaje ono nieobecne w oficjalnej narracji historycznej. Pamięć o bieżeństwie przetrwała dzięki przekazom ustnym. W artykule przedstawiono, w jakim stopniu krajobraz kulturowy zachował ślady tego wydarzenia oraz jak współcześnie jest ono upamiętniane. Zwrócono również uwagę na trwającą marginalizację doświadczeń mniejszości religijnych i etnicznych w Polsce oraz na rolę krajobrazu kulturowego jako nośnika pamięci zbiorowej.pl
dc.description.abstractThe article reflects on how collective memory functions within a minority community, and how this is manifested in the cultural landscape. It uses the bieżeństwo (exile) – the mass evacuation of civilians into Russian territory during the First World War in 1915 – as an example. The exodus affected several million people and almost 80% of the population of present-day eastern Podlasie was displaced. Despite its scale, this phenomenon remains absent from the official historical narrative. The memory of the exodus has survived thanks to oral tradition. The article explores the extent to which the cultural landscape preserves traces of this event and how it is commemorated today. It also draws attention to the ongoing marginalisation of the experiences of religious and ethnic minorities in Poland, and to the role of the cultural landscape as a carrier of collective memory.en
