ICT, digital literacy, digital inclusion and media education in Poland

Abstract
The chapter presents the conditions related to the use of ICT in the didactic process in Polish schools and the phenomenon of e-inclusion. It contains references to the most up-to-date and relevant resources showing how digital media are being used by students and teachers. In this context, the advantages and disadvantages of introducing digital media into Polish education system are discussed. The important part of the text is the presentation of the financial aspects of media pedagogy as well as the challenges concerning the introduction of new didactic methods and means based on the new media.
