Abstract
This paper concerns the effect of the impact of earlier legal decisions („precedents”) on the process of issuing an administrative decision. This impact is analyzed both in relation to previous decisions issued by courts, as well as public administration bodies. The background for this research is the validation-derivative interpretation of the law concept, which on the one hand, refers to the search for the source of the normative basis for the decision (in the paper considerations are focused on precedent as a potential source of legal norm in the continental legal system) and the reconstruction of the legal norm (including the interpretation of precedent and its influence on the processes of interpretation).
