Educational role of the media in molding woman’s body image

Abstract
The article discusses an influence that today’s media have on shaping the image of a modern woman. It presents negative consequences of yielding to trends of popular culture, including those affecting physical and mental health, such as eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia). At the same time, the article demonstrates how the role of media is becoming increasingly positive, by promoting healthy models of a woman’s body rather than propagating harmful habits.
