Distance Learning Tools at the Service of Multilingual Competence Development

Abstract
The Web environment provides its users with a large variety of tools which can play a significant role in both learning and teaching a new language, including all of its components, such as pronunciation, lexical items, and grammatical structures. Certain websites and applications offer a number of opportunities for language teachers (in terms of content creation and implementation), as well as for language learners (to support the individual learning process). The aim of this paper is to analyse and describe selected online tools that can be used in order to enhance multilingual competence among students learning French as their second foreign language after English.
