Wystawa wołyńska 1928 roku – organizacja i znaczenie
Abstract
The 1928 Volhynia Exhibition in Lutsk was an important socio-industrial event on a voivodeship scale. The popular event was a form of preparing the Volhynia representatives for the National Exhibition in Poznan in 1929. It ended a cycle of similar events organized in the Volhynia voivodeship in the past few years, which took place in Równo, Włodzimierz and Dubno. The Lutsk exhibition had the most exhibitors and was visited by fifty thousand people. It outgrew the initial ramifications of an agricultural exhibition and became a regional one. The exhibition had members of all nationalities living in the then Volhynia. Which proved that social and business cooperation was possible. Local government as well as firms, landowners farmers and animal breeders all became involved in the exhibition There were attempts to cooperate with other regions of Poland. However, the full extent of the exhibition was not achieved due to the great economic crisis in 1929. After its conclusion in the mid-1930s there were no initiatives on a similar scale.
