Abstract
In the chapter the process of waste management in Polish companies was presented. The waste, waste producer and waste holder were defined. The most important regulationa about environment protection connected with waste management in Poland were described. The Best Available Techniques BAT, which help to reduce the environmental impact of the company, were characterized.
