Abstract
The Generic Open Soldier System Reference Architecture (GOSSRA) project represents a significant step forward in the evolution of Dismounted Soldier Systems (DSS). This article provides an in-depth analysis of the project, drawing on direct author participation, extensive project documentation, and a wide range of academic literature. It synthesizes key insights into the technological advancements, operational challenges, ethical considerations, and strategic implications of DSS.
