Abstract
The purpose of the study is to check to what extent solutions based on the smart city concept are included in the strategic documents of selected cities of Pomorskie Voivodeship. The study also presents examples of implemented solutions based on six smart areas, which are a key element in increasing the inhabitants' quality of life. The scope of the study brings closer the significance of current challenges faced by the cities of Pomorskie Voivodeship and presents a synthetic approach to the smart city concept. The thesis assumes that the Tri-City agglomeration - Gdynia, Sopot and Gdańsk definitely stands out among the cities of the Pomorskie Voivodeship in terms of the implementation of smart solutions in their development plans.Celem badania jest sprawdzenie w jakim stopniu uwzględniane są rozwiązania oparte na koncepcji smart city w dokumentach strategicznych wybranych miast województwa pomorskiego. Badanie prezentuje również przykłady implementowanych rozwiązań opierających się na sześciu obszarach smart, które stanowią kluczowy element wzrostu jakości życia mieszkańców. Zakres merytoryczny opracowania przybliża znaczenie aktualnych wyzwań, z jakimi mierzą się miasta województwa pomorskiego oraz prezentuje syntetyczne ujęcie koncepcji smart city. Tezą pracy jest założenie, iż aglomeracja Trójmiejska – Gdynia, Sopot, Gdańsk zdecydowanie wyróżnia się na tle miast województwa pomorskiego pod względem implementowanych rozwiązań smart w swoich zamierzeniach rozwojowych.
