dc.description.abstractIn the “National Development Strategy 2020” and “Long-Term National Development Strategy - Poland 2030. Third Wave of Modernity” a lot of space is devoted to the digitization process in Poland. The key challenge is to achieve the level of access to infrastructure, technology, content and digital services and digital literacy, which is considered a standard in the EU. The actions to increase the use of information and communication technologies will be focused, in the new financial perspective 2014-2020, on the national level, within the framework of the Operational Programme for the Digital Development. These actions will be financed from the European Regional Development Fund. The proposed allocation for the Program is 1.97 billion euro. Implementation of the four priority axes: Priority Axis 1. Common access to high-speed Internet; Priority Axis 2. E-government and open government; Priority Axis 3. E-inclusion of digitally excluded groups and dissemination of information and communication technologies; Priority Axis 4. Technical assistance, was planned within the Operational Programme for the Digital Development. Unfortunately, in comparison with other EU countries, Poland is still relatively underdeveloped in terms of readiness for digitization. In addition, digital literacy of Poles are small. However, is to be hoped that the systematic and consistent implementation of the digitization process will contribute to growth competitiveness of the Polish economy and the gradual transition from information society into a network digital society.en
