dc.description.abstractThe present article aims at introducing the circumstances surrounding the adoption of the Protocol on the application of the Charter of fundamental rights of the European Union to Poland and to the United Kingdom, at analysing the Protocol from the legal point of view and at assessing its impact on the level of human rights protection in the European Union. The author also refers to and extracts parts of the recent case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning the status of the Protocol and concludes by information on the current political climate that is partially the outcome of the Court's case law and the prevailing opinion of the academic community.pl_PL
