Abstract
The article discusses the summit meeting between the prime minister of PRC, Zhou Enlai and first secretary of the Polish United Worker's Party, Wladyslaw Gomulka, in January 1957. Gomulka gave to Zhou Enlai an account of the acute crisis in Polish Soviet relations in October 1956. The article includes a detailed memorandum of their conversation, authorized personally by Gomulka.
