dc.description.abstractFilm „Panny z Wilka” jest adaptacją opowiadania Jarosława Iwaszkiewicza pod takim samym tytułem. Rozprawa analizuje i interpretuje sposób przedstawienia w dziele filmowym przemiany wewnętrznej głównego bohatera Wiktora Rubena, związanej z wkraczaniem przez niego w drugą połowę życia. Zostały przedstawione różnice pomiędzy utworem literackim a scenariuszem i scenopisem filmu. Wskazane zostały obecne w filmie nawiązania do innych utworów Iwaszkiewicza. Zastosowana metodologia – analiza antropologiczno-morfologiczna – objęła wykorzystane przez reżysera środki wyrazu filmowego, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem scenografii, sztuki operatorskiej, warstwy sonorystycznej i muzyki Karola Szymanowskiego. Omówione zostało podobieństwo obecnego w filmie sposobu obrazowania do malarskiej techniki akwarelowej, ze zwróceniem szczególnej uwagi na obecność bieli. Wykorzystane zostały informacje dotyczące realizacji filmu. Dokładnie została omówiona struktura i kompozycja filmu, ze zwróceniem szczególnej uwagi na obecność prologu i spinającej dzieło klamry, w której pojawia się Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz. Analizie została obecna w filmie formuła narracyjna rozpoznana jako filmowa realizacja mowy pozornie zależnej. Omówione zostały środki wyrazu, dzięki którym ten rodzaj narracji mógł pojawić się w utworze filmowym. Interpretacja osadza film „Panny z Wilka” w szerokich kontekstach kulturowych i antropologicznych. Omówione zostały kategorie czasu i przestrzeni. Zostały wskazane i poddane interpretacji obecne w dziele motywy mitologiczne i odwołania do psychologii głębi ze zwróceniem uwagi na występowanie postaci archetypowych. Została przedstawiona, zgodnie z koncepcją Arnolda van Gennepa, występująca w filmie struktura obrzędu przejścia wraz z omówieniem jego kolejnych faz i ich znaczeniem dla przemiany wewnętrznej bohatera. Postacie występujących w filmie kobiet, tytułowych „panien z Wilka” zostały omówione w odniesieniu do typów temperamentów zaproponowanych przez Hipokratesa. Uważną analizą został objęty sposób filmowego uformowania postaci Tuni (gra aktorska, rola kostiumu, dubbingu) oraz sceny, w których ta postać występuje. Szczegółowa analiza sceny przeprawy promem przez rzekę pozwoliła ukazać obecne w filmie, bliskie twórczości Jarosława Iwaszkiewicza, odczytywanie biegu ludzkiego życia jako rytmu następujących po sobie pór roku.pl
dc.description.abstractThe film “The Maids of Wilko” is an adaptation of the short story under the same title written by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz. The dissertation analyses and interprets the manner of how the internal transformation of the main character, Victor Ruben, related to entering the second half of his life is portrayed in the film work. The paper outlines the differences between the literary work and both the script and screenplay. The references to other works by Iwaszkiewicz that can be found in the film are likewise indicated. The applied methodology – anthropological-morpho¬logical analysis – covers the film means of expression used by the director, with a special emphasis placed on the art of cinematography, set design, sonoristic layer and Karol Szymanowski’s music. The similarity between the manner of imaging adopted into the movie and the technique of aquarelle painting has been examined with par¬ticular attention drawn to the presence of whiteness. The information about the realisation of the film has also been used. The text carefully discusses the structure and composition of the film, taking into consideration primarily the presence of the prologue and the framing device – consolidating the whole work – where Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz appears. The narration formula of the film, recognised as a film realisation of the apparent reported speech, has been subjected to analysis. The means of expression owing to which this type of narration could emerge in the film work have been explored as well. The interpretation embeds the film “The Maids of Wilko” into broad cultural and anthropological contexts. The categories of time and space are discussed. The mythological motifs and references to depth psychology occurring in the film work, with attention paid to the existence of archetypal figures, have been identified and subjected to interpretation. The structure of the rite of passage, along with the discussion of its successive phases and their significance for the protagonist’s inner transformation has been presented in accordance with the conception of Arnold van Gennep. The characters of the women appearing in the film – the eponymous “maids of Wilko” – have been described with regard to the temperament types proposed by Hippocrates. A comprehensive analysis has been carried out in relation to the film way of featuring how Tunia’s character was formed (acting, the role of costumes and dubbing) as well as to the scenes in which this character appears. A detailed analysis of the scene of crossing the river in a ferry made it possible to present the film’s reading of the course of human life as the rhythm of the consecutive seasons of the year, which remains close to the work of Jarosław Iwaszkiewiczen
