dc.description.abstract	The aim of this article is to present a comprehensive analysis of the Visegrad cooperation in the field of borders security. The paper presents both legal and institutional environment in which the Visegrad partners pursue their policy of safety management at the borders. A short historical background is presented, followed by expended examples of V4 achievements. The key issue, however, is whether the cooperation provides opportunities to ensure security effectively in practice. The case of the Visegrad Group will help to understand this practical aspect.	en
