dc.description.abstractPodlasie leży na pograniczu kulturowym Europy Zachodniej katolicko-protestanckiej i Europy Wschodniej głównie prawosławnej. Od wieków zamieszkany przez zróżnicowaną etnicznie i narodowościowo ludność. Było przedmiotem rywalizacji politycznej sąsiadujących państw, dlatego w ciągu wieków obszar wielokrotnie zmieniał przynależność polityczną. Dzięki wyraźnej odrębności i niezłemu zachowaniu krajobrazy kulturowe Podlasia jest wdzięcznym tematem badawczym. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest na podstawie odtworzonych dziejów regionu odnalezienie punktów zwrot-nych kształtowania się krajobrazów kulturowych Podlasia, Wykorzystanie tych analiz do przeprowadzenia regionalizacji historyczno-kulturowej północno-wschodniej Polski oraz porównanie jej z regionalizacją fizycznogeograficzną tego regionu.pl
dc.description.abstractPodlasie is situated within the borderland between the Catholic-and-Protestant Western Europe and the primarily Orthodox Eastern Europe. This area has been inhabited for centuries by the ethnically and nationally diversified population. It was also the object of political rivalry of the neighbouring states, and so, over the centuries, it changed several times its political attribution. Owing to the distinct identity and quite good state of preservation, the cultural landscapes of Podlasie constitute a convenient subject of study. The purpose of the present article is to determine the turning points in the development of the cultural landscapes of Podlasie on the basis of the recon-struction of the history of this region, then to use the results of the respective analyses in performing the historical-cultural regionalisation of the north-eastern Poland and to compare it with the physico-geographical regionalisa-tion of the area.en
