Abstract
The article is a review of Éva Petrás’ The Many Lives of a Jesuit, Freemason, and Philanthropist: The Story of Töhötöm Nagy, published by CEU Press in 2023. The author of the review reconstructs layers of Petrás’ book based on interpretations of different sources: Nagy’s denunciations, his memories tries to reconstruct dif ferent aspects of Nagy’s personality.
