Abstract
The author talks over the specificity of the piety directed to Blessed Maria Louisa Merkert, expressed by contemporary inhabitants of Opole Silesia. Maria Louisa lived in XIX, in Nysa. She is a cofounder of the St. Elisabeth`s Society. Entered in history of the region as heroically helping people in their illness. In the memory of contemporary inhabitants of Opolian Silesia she is present in the cluster of ten most outstanding Silesians. This memory possesses religious and cultural stigmas. Is celebrated the liturgical recollection of Blessed. She is shown as an example of charities in the steadfast service suffering people. One built also the hiking-pilgrimage trail of the Blessed.
