Percepcja ciała w systemie wartości dorastających dziewcząt

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present and determine the relationship between the body perception and the system of values among adolescent girls. In order to notice the connection between these concepts, which is apparently really close, in the first place the attempt to define them was made. In the contemporary world the body plays a very important role, its strong significance has been shown by its analysis through the prism of the hierarchy of values developed by Max Scheler. From daily observations, experience we can see that the perception of the body among young girls has dominated every level of this hierarchy, starting from utilitarian, hedonistic and ending with religious values. The appearance, the attractiveness of the body is in many cases more important than health and life. In today world, dominated by the media, the perception of the body has been placed at the top of the hierarchy of values, brought to the sacred sphere as evidenced by the popularity of the phrase "the cult of the body". This dictatorship of the body can especially be observed among adolescent girls. A gradual analysis of the body perception among adolescent girls and referring it to utilitarian, hedonistic, vital, spiritual and religious values respectively, shows its huge role in the contemporary world, its domination of the hierarchy of human values. The final aspect was the attempt to determine the impact of the system of values formed that way on the sense of the meaning of existence. :
