Abstract
This article is an attempt to present the tasks and role of social work in light of the provisions
of statutory law. The article uses the law on social assistance to the canvas on its present duties, and
Principia profession which is social work. It should also be stressed that brought closer - selectively -
a bill whose main purpose is to support the public in difficult and problem situations. In conclusion
clearly stated definition of a profession which is a social worker.
