Determinanty bezpieczeństwa żywnościowego – teoretyczne wprowadzenie do problematyki

Abstract
The issue of food security has gained significant attention in scientific discourse since the end of the Cold War, as traditional (hard) security concerns have waned and the increasingly severe effects of global warming have emerged. The rising popularity of food security as a new research field within the domain of so-called "soft security" is well illustrated by the growing number of publications on the topic. This article is part of that trend and aims to contribute to the organization of knowledge regarding the key determinants of food security. Thus, the primary objective of this paper is to address the research question concerning the influence of selected factors on the individual pillars of food security. To address this research problem, the determinants of food security are categorized into four groups: natural, socio-cultural, economic, and political. It should be noted that, from the author's perspective, this article represents a further stage in ongoing research on food security. As such, it constitutes a critical synthesis of secondary research material, developed using the desk research method.
