dc.description.abstractMany authors tried to explore the magic of the desert, but it was only the Libyan Ibrāhīm al-Kawnī who was able to introduce it to the literature on a larger scale. He was born in 1948, and began publishing in the 1970’s. Since that time a number of prose works appeared, mainly devoted to life in the desert.en
