Hymn globalnego populizmu czy ostrzeżenie przed groźbą totalitaryzacji? Przypadek „Rich Men North of Richmond” Olivera Anthony’ego

Abstract
The author interprets "Rich Men North of Richmond" by Oliver Anthony from the, common in the US, populist way of thinking, whereby it is crucial to juxta pose the candor and straightforwardness of simple people with the corruption of the elites. This, in turn, gives rise to wariness of experts and, in a long run, a kind of anti-intellectualism. In addition, the populist world view does not bring clear enough distinctions between various types of social rule, hoisting wealth to the position of its only attribute. These themes, mixed with some religious under tones, can be found in the work under discussion.
