The challenges of mixed methods research in studies on 21st century skills

Abstract
This review article analyzes the application of mixed methods in the studies over 21st century competencies. The purpose of the article is to identify the main challenges, pitfalls and problems encountered when analyzing 21st century competencies using a mixed methods approach. The article provides a detailed review of the literature, explaining how errors in the design and conduction stage of mixed methods research can affect the reliability of the results. It is also important to point out important gaps in research, including the lack of a holistic approach to these competencies. In addition, the article is a call to expand mixed methods research on 21st century competencies beyond the field of education, highlighting its importance in organizational contexts as well. The article makes an important contribution to the discussion of mixed methods research and its application to the analysis of the competencies needed in today's rapidly changing world.
