Abstract
Artykuł prezentuje wyniki kompleksowej oceny kompetencji czynnych nauczycieli geografii – opiekunów studenckich praktyk zawodowych, a zwłaszcza oceny kompetencji nauczycieli w zakresie wyboru i zastosowania źródeł wiedzy geograficznej i środków dydaktycznych na lekcjach geografii. Do badań kompetencji dydaktycznych zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego, a w nim metodę ankietową. Narzędziem badawczym był kwestionariusz ankiety, który zawierał zarówno pytania otwarte jak i zamknięte, dotyczące prowadzonej przez nauczyciela lekcji. Szczególnie istotnym w procesie nauczania/ uczenia się geografii powinna być ocena wyboru i zastosowania źródeł wiedzy geograficznej i środków dydaktycznych przez nauczycieli na lekcjach geografii.The aim of the performed research was a comprehensive assessment of the acquisition of competences by active geography teachers – mentors of student’s teaching training. The author focused particularly on the assessment of teacher’s competences concerning the range of selection and the application of the sources of geographical knowledge and teaching strategies during geography lessons. Teaching competences were examined by means of a diagnostic survey which is also called a questionnaire method. A questionnaire, which concerned factual and teaching competences of geography teachers, was used as the research tool. Thus in everyday use of different information the assessment of the sources of geographical knowledge as well as teaching strategies chosen by teachers during geography lessons should be essential. Observation of teachers and students doing teacher training at school, together with own attempts to take action, provide a good basis for independent investigation into the type of competences which a student needs to have as a future teacher. In addition, it helps to realise the meaning of theory for effective practice.
