Abstract
This article analyzes the potential of folk songs from the perspective of comparative language didactics (glottodidactics). The development of methods for teaching foreign languages in the 21st century is an urgent task for countries that are invested in promoting their image in the international arena. There is a need to combine the best of existing methods with new experience and a national basis, hence the utility of ethnopedagogy and folklore. The subject of the study is a comprehensive approach to teaching a foreign language through song. The experience of using folk songs when teaching the Czech language to Ukrainians in the Czech Republic allows us to suggest possible approaches and tasks to the song ‘As I Served the Master’ when teaching Belarusian as a foreign language. The specificity of ancient song allows for (1) a comparative approach to similar texts, (2) the use of song as an educational tool in teaching vocabulary, grammar, phraseology, translation, (3) the use of art therapy methods and the education of aesthetic taste. The language exercises proposed in this article serve as a kind of template for teaching Slavic languages as foreign languages using common song material. This article describes a complex combination of different forms of work with the song, which can provide different types of language practice for learners not only of Czech, but also of other Slavic languages in which the song exists.Артыкул аналізуе патэнцыял народнай песні з перспектывы параўнальнай глотадыдактыкі. Распрацоўка методыкі выкладання моў як замежных у ХХІ ст. з’яўляецца актуальнай задачай для краін, якія дбаюць пра стварэнне свайго пазітыўнага іміджу на міжнароднай арэне. Узнікае неабходнасць аб’яднаць лепшае з існуючых методык з новым вопытам і ўласна нацыянальным базісам – этнапедагогікай і фальклорам. Прадметам даследавання з’яўляецца комплексны падыход пры выкладанні замежнай мовы праз песню. Вопыт выкарыстання народнай песні пры выкладанні чэшскай мовы ўкраінцам у Чэхіі дазваляе прапанаваць магчымыя падыходы і заданні да песні “Як служыў жа ў пана” пры выкладанні беларускай мовы як замежнай. Спецыфіка старажытнай песні дае магчымасць (1) кампаратыўнага падыходу да падобных тэкстаў, (2) выкарыстання песні як адукацыйнага сродку пры навучанні лексіцы, граматыцы і перакладу, (3) выкарыстання метадаў арттэрапіі і выхавання эстэтычнага густу. Прапанаваныя заданні з’яўляюцца своеасаблівым шаблонам для выкладання славянскіх моў як замежных на агульным песенным матэрыяле. Апісана комплекснае спалучэнне розных форм працы, якое можа быць карысным “трэнажорам” пры выкладанні не толькі чэшскай, але і іншых славянскіх моў, у якіх бытуе песня.
