What are the aims of the implementation of e-solutions in healthcare? Review of the relevant practical studies

Abstract

The eHealth solutions are an effect of applying new information and communication technologies (ICT) in health care. The phenomenon is commonly described as transformation of the healthcare system because its influence on management and organization of care is both wide and deep. This review aims at the research describing the practical aspects of implementing e-solutions in healthcare. The review reveals that the analyzed articles usually contained more than one stated goal. This leads to a conclusion that it is difficult to objectively compare the published research about eHealth. It would be beneficial to analyze the relationship between the dispersed aims of practical studies.
