Abstract
Kościół katolicki w Polsce ma utrwaloną pozycję i szeroki zakres oddziaływań, które kształtowały wielowiekową kulturę oraz relacje społeczne. Od roku 1989 Polska weszła na drogę przemian politycznych i gospodarczych, za którymi postępowały także przemiany społeczno-kulturowe i religijne. Tym samym oddziaływania Kościoła, także te o charakterze wychowawczym i formującym, weszły w nową fazę, stając przed wyzwaniami wolnej gospodarki rynkowej, wolnego jak nigdy dotąd człowieka wierzącego, obywatela otwartego globalnego społeczeństwa. Artykuł przedstawia problematykę i cele podjętego projektu badawczego, którego niniejsza publikacja stanowi pierwszy etap. Traktuje o złożonościach relacji wierzących i Kościoła, podstawach misji wychowawczej Kościoła i realizowanych działaniach wychowawczych i formujących, a także o wpływie przemian społeczno-kulturowych na działalność Kościoła, o kryzysie Kościoła i wartości, problemach z tożsamością religijną i eklezjalną oraz wyzwaniach stąd wynikających.
Description
The project “The educational influence of the Church in the context of socio-cultural changes”
The Catholic Church in Poland has a well-established position and a wide range of influence that
has shaped a centuries-old culture and social relations. Since 1989, Poland has entered on a path
of deep economic transformation, followed by the resulting socio-cultural and religious changes.
Thus, the activities of the Church, including both its educational and formative ones, entered
a new phase typified by the challenges of the market economy, man being endowed with greater
freedoms than ever before and citizens in an open and global society.
The article presents the problems and objectives of the research project undertaken, of which
this publication is the first step. It deals with the complex relationships of believers and the
Church, the foundations of the educational mission of the Church, her educational and formative
activities, as well as the impact of socio-cultural changes on the activity of the Church. It also addresses
the issues of the crisis of the Church and values, and the problems of religious and ecclesial
identity and the challenges arising therefrom.
