Abstract
This article attempts to explain matters related to the flag of the Republic of Poland which is one of its most important national symbols. The author presents the history of, and the legal basis for, the Polish national flag, as well as the general principles for the care and display of the flag. The order of precedence of flags and other rules of flag protocol are also discussed. The article also contains many specific instructions on how the flag is to be used properly.
